A tribute to Beverly Pepper
The Festival of the Arts 2020 – A tribute to Beverly Pepper is a project realized by Fondazione Progetti Beverly Pepper in partnership with Comune di Todi.
The Festival seeks to promote culture, contemporary art, and all the performing arts, supporting the birth of urban stages against cultural lockdowns through events which gather institutions and advanced artistic training organizations in a national and international setting. The Festival has an original format that gives value to the local area through the narrative of collective genius and creativity and focuses to revive culture and tourism, which is very needed in this period of instability.
The event is related to the growth of artistic-aware tourism and its associated services aiming to establish a network among the various institutions. This innovative exchange will improve the way public spaces are used through art.
This first edition of the Festival was dedicated to Beverly Pepper who passed away in 2020. The Foundation and the city of Todi have commemorated the artist remembering her life and career during which she set Todi as the capital of art bringing the best of the culture from all over the world to Umbria. Her artworks made her immortal, and her park of sculptures in Todi is an artistic testament of great value for contemporary art worldwide.
